Speakers (33)
Adriana Ribeiro is a Pharmacist with an M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Ph.D. in Pharmacy, specializing in Pharmacognosy and Ethnopharmacology, from the Faculdade de Farmácia, Universidade de Lisboa (FFUL).
She is currently a collaborating researcher at iMed.ULisboa and a Postdoctoral Researcher in Medicinal Cannabis. Her research focuses on pharmaceutical technologies and regulatory science, with particular emphasis on innovative cannabinoid formulations and the regulatory aspects of medicinal cannabis.
She is the Founder and CEO of ClusterAR, Chair of the Scientific Council of ClusterAR, and the author of several scientific publications, including the e-book Cannabis Frontiers: Science, Therapeutics & Society (2023).
Helena Cabral-Marques is Full Professor at the Faculdade de Farmácia, Universidade de Lisboa (FFUL), where she earned her degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University of Wales College of Cardiff and the Universidade de Lisboa.
She is also a researcher at iMed.ULisboa within the BioNanoSciences research group, where her work focuses on the development of micro- and nanosystems for controlled drug delivery.
She has extensive expertise in pharmaceutical technologies applied to medicinal cannabis, is a member of the Portuguese Pharmacopoeia Commission, a Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and a member of the Scientific Council of ClusterAR.
Margarete Akemi Kishi, MSc, is a pharmacist, professor, and researcher with appointments in the Schools of Pharmacy and Psychology at Mackenzie Presbyterian University, the Homeopathic and Integrative Practices Institute (IHPI), and the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (FCF-USP).
She is a member of the São Paulo State Health Department’s Regulatory Committee for Cannabidiol-Based Medicines and coordinates the Cannabis Committee of the Regional Pharmacy Council of São Paulo (CRF-SP). She also serves on the Cannabis Working Group of the Brazilian Association of Pharmaceutical Ingredient Industries (Abiquifi) and is Pharmaceutical Director of the Pan American Association of Cannabinoid Medicine (APMC).
In addition, she coordinates the Research and Education Centre of the Medicinal Plants Project at SUSTENTEC / Itaipu Binacional and serves as President of the Technical Pharmacy Committee at the Institute for Connection and Regulation (ICR). Ms Kishi holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from São Paulo State University (UNESP), a Master’s degree in Psychosomatics, and postgraduate qualifications in Homeopathy, Phytotherapy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
